Welcome to the first issue of the JN Circle E-Newsletter. This newsletter provides a channel for us to communicate with you, our JN Circle members; and for us to maintain our connection, especially since we may not be able to meet due to necessary restrictions on social gathering.

Even as we adjust to stipulations, which forces us to be physically apart, let us remain focused on our mandate of community building, advocacy and networking. We trust that you have been enjoying the fellowship of your JN Circle via WhatsApp, and we are eagerly looking forward to continuing to work with you, as we evolve and position ourselves to thrive in the new normal.

With the launch of the JN Member Welfare Fund, we will be sharing more information via this medium, so that you can work alongside your Officers and JN Bank Business Relationship and Sales Managers to help those who are most in need in your community.

This global health epidemic has forced us to look at how we live. It has called for us to improve hygiene practices in order to stay healthy. Importantly too, it is also calling for us to be responsible and caring. As we observe the guidance provided by the Government of Jamaica, to reduce person-to-person contact, and to stay home, let us all look out for those who are most vulnerable. Let us truly be our brother’s keeper so that we can successfully emerge from this period, healthier, wiser and stronger as a community and nation.

We should deeply examine how we fellowship with family and friends; and, how we operate our businesses and groups. Let us capitalize on technology to maintain contact and to deliver service. Although our communities may become more virtual, we must ensure that the warmth, love and hospitality for which Jamaicans are known becomes even stronger. Realer!

We are hopeful for the future and grateful that we have the opportunity to build it with you, even while we maintain social distance.

We do hope that you will enjoy this first issue for our e-newsletter; and, we invite you to provide us with feedback at CorporateCommunications@jnbs.com.

    Claudine Allen

    JN Group Member Ombudsman
